What we collect, and why.
Renvue is a New Zealand business and handles personal information under the Privacy Act 2020. This page is written to be read rather than to cover us.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry we collect your name, email address, phone number, the type of property or business, and whatever else you choose to tell us in the message field. If you attach photos, we store those too. We also record a truncated version of your IP address and your browser user agent, purely so we can deal with spam and abuse.
What we do with it
We use it to reply to you, quote the work, and do the work. That is the whole list. We do not sell your information, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not add you to a marketing list unless you ask us to.
Payments
Payments are handled entirely by Stripe. Your card number is entered on Stripe’s own hosted page and never passes through our servers, so we never see it, store it or have any way of retrieving it. We receive only a payment reference and whether the payment succeeded. Stripe’s own privacy terms apply to what they hold.
Where it lives
Enquiries and uploaded photos are stored with Supabase, and the site runs on Vercel. Both may store data on servers outside New Zealand. Uploaded photos sit in a private storage bucket that is not publicly readable and cannot be browsed or guessed at from the internet.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted after 12 months. Photos you send for a quote are deleted after 90 days if the job does not go ahead. Records tied to work we actually invoiced are kept for seven years, because Inland Revenue requires it.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@renvue.co.nz and we will action it within 20 working days, which is the statutory limit. If you are not happy with how we handle it you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Cookies
This site sets no tracking cookies and runs no advertising or analytics pixels. If that changes we will say so here and ask first where consent is required.
